Registration Requirements

For government entities:: the business register or tax card of the company applying for registration and a letter from the state agency bearing the eagle's seal.

Registration of domain names with the names of companies' products and services is permitted, with the submission of a confirmation from the company applying for registration that the domain name to be registered belongs to the company and the submission of proof of the existence of this product or service to the company as the submission of a promotional folder, an image of the product, an advertising campaign, or any physical image in any form used in the promotion of the product or service.

For companies within Egypt: Commercial register or tax card of the company in addition to a photo of the identity card of the owner of the company and in case there is a commissioner from the company to deal with the registration of the domain must add a photo of the commissioner's card.

For companies outside of Egypt: trademark for the name to be registered as the trademark is registered in Egypt or internationally registered according to the Madrid Convention for Trademarks with the WIPO and the company must have a representative or agent in Egypt.

For public universities and institutes: the decision to establish the university or institute.

For private and public universities: the decision to establish the university must be from one of the universities listed in one of the recognized lists issued by the Ministry of Higher Education or the Supreme Council of Universities. In the absence of a decision, registration requires the approval of the Secretary of the Higher Council of Universities.

For bodies, companies or educational establishments: a letter from the relevant government ministry, stamped with the eagle's seal, establishing the body under the ministry's umbrella for educational or research purposes is required.

For private institutes and academies: the decision to establish the institute or academy must be from the institutes or academies listed in one of the recognized lists issued by the Ministry of Higher Education or the Supreme Council of Universities For public, private and international schools: the decision to establish a school is made by the Ministry of Education or by the Ministry to teach an international curriculum such as American or British.

Certificate of affiliation to the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research or one of its agencies or bodies.

For the channels and programmes of the Union of Radio and Television: a letter from the Union of Radio and Television, stamped with the Republic's seal.

For channels and programmes of the Investment Authority: a letter from the Investment Authority stamped with the Republic's seal. For the satellite channels, not suck. The registration is done under the license agreement.

Decision to establish an association or organisation

A letter from the athletic department stamped with the department's seal.

For government entities: An official letter from the authority, stamped with the Eagle seal.

For state-owned companies: A commercial register or tax card, in addition to a letter from the affiliated government entity, stamped with the Eagle seal.

For companies within Egypt: A commercial register or tax card.

For companies outside Egypt: A trademark for the name to be registered, provided that the trademark is registered in Egypt or internationally under the Madrid Agreement for trademarks with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), and the company must have a representative or agent within Egypt.
